It’s been a while since YHC Q’d a Monday Mettle! So with clear crisp skies, 6 PAX met in the gloom at the Highland Creek Sports Center parking lot for shenanigans with kettlebells. I don’t think this  beatdown disappointed as many grunts and moans were vocalized. After a brief disclaimer, we jogged in place and got busy.

The Thang

Escalator Workout:
20 KB Bent over rows
20 KB Curls
20 KB Squats
20 KB Tricep Extensions
20 KB Swings
Set 1 was just the Bent over rows and did five burpees before coming back for Set 2. Set 2 added the Curls. After adding all five exercises, followed by 5 burpees of course, we started removing them from the top. So, set 6 was everything BUT bent over rows, etc. After each set, 5 more burpees. Of course, the burpees count towards the merkin challenge.

When all was said-and-done, Pax completed 100 of each exercise, and 50 burpees. Good job men!

We then performed 10 sets of the following:
10 KB chest press
10 KB Heavy Freddies (1=1)
5 KB overhead extension

So now add 100 of each and 50 extensions to your list.

Then we finished time off with
20 KB Upright Rows
25 KB Single arm Rows (each arm)

COT: We prayed for Ponyboy for continued healing of his hammy, and for everyone to be better Fathers, Sons, brothers, and husbands.

Moleskin: Great to get back out again and lift some mettle. At one point near the end, YHC was encouraging PAX to finish strong (mainly speaking to himself as he was breathing hard and trying to move his arms). We welcomed Hugo back after a long break, and he came out STRONG as he led the way on the escalators. Mumblechatter was minimal today, but the grunts were heard, and provided enough feedback for YHC.  I really enjoyed getting back to the gloom with my brothers!
