Return of The Accordion
All Highlands BackblastsNovember 4th, 2020
With only the clarity that a 2020 election can provide, 6 sleepy HIMs assembled in the golf club parking lot and prepared to experience The Accordion. Actually, 5 HIMs gathered. Late Grinder was…well, late…so he gathered later. After YHC announced “Disclaimer”, the PAX took off to let the musical fun begin. It went something like this…
Warmarama
- Side shuffle to Warmarama
- 45 Side Straddle Hops
- 15 Windmills
- 15 Toy Soldiers
- 15 Low Slow Squats
- 15 Mountain Climbers
- 15 Plank Jacks
The Thang
- Mosey to Driving Range Cart Path and complete three rounds of The Accordion. Each round involved starting at the top of the cart path near the town-homes and running to each cart parking area to compete an exercise. There were 7 cart parking areas. After the completion of each exercise, the PAX would run back to the start before moving on to the next cart parking area. Each round included the following exercise and reps (in order of closest cart park area to farthest):
- Round 1: MERKINS (cumulative) – 1x + 2x + 3x + 4x + 5x + 6x + 7x
- Round 2: WWIIs (non-cumulative) – 1x / 2x / 3x / 4x / 5x / 6x / 7x
- Round 3: Plank Jacks – complete 10 plank jacks at the last station only, 2x
- The Accordion was strategic in design – it provides more running time in between the higher rep stations. You’re welcome PAX.
- Bear crawl back to street
- Quadraphilia back to parking lot
Mary
- 10 LBCs
- 10 Low Flutters
- 10 Box Cutters / Todd Beamers
- 10 Rosalitas
- 10 Low Dollys
- 10 Pretzel Crunch
- 10 Freddy Mercury
- 10 Mexican Twists
Moleskin
- Good work PAX – lots of running and up/downs in the mix
- The time change seems to have not helped Grinder’s tardiness
- Powerball promised me that my kid can get into LNC since I reported an error with the website (officially in the backblast, so its official…just like all those mail-in ballots)
- Prayers for our nation and its people…that we may put our faith in Jesus alone because Christ is the only one who can truly save us
Wishing you all the best of recoveries,
GREEK
