Dora at the Vet

All All MECA Backblasts

October 5th, 2020 By DELTA

12 PAX arrived for another Delta Q of extraordinary skills.  As normal we had a long warmup as I take my time getting my muscles in gear.

Warm Up: Ran around the parking lot and then around the track. 50 side shuttle hops, 10 mountain climbers, down dog, up dog, runners stretching and some balance stretching/hip stability work. Then we ran round the track again while at each side we did a down ladder burpee fest starting at 5.  Then we ran to the Thang.

Thang: I have yet to see the PAX pass the Jack Web entry exam…so I just keep giving it.  And once again, many of the PAX failed to finish so they can expect to see it on my next Q.  Now note here…I do this close to the beginning of the workout as to maximize success of completion.  Yep, still didn’t work.  Then we did some DORA 1-2-3. Partnered up with one running and one battling Dora. 100 Merkins, 200 Squats and 300 LBCs.  Then we went for some Lazy Dora with partner 1 holding a plank and partner 2 exercising and flap jacking as required. 100 step ups, 200 dips and 300 flutter kicks.  However, I don’t think anyone made it to the flutters as we were running out of time and we mosied back to the COT.

We prayed for some of our injured reserves, some of our family members who are on injured reserves and of course our first responders and military.

I was of course once again honored to lead these fine men in our tribute to Dora today.
