F3 Locust Q School

5 men, a couple on the younger side, joined YHC for a Q School/Beatdown. Week 6 of F3 Locust and it’s time to get some of the newer guys ready to step up into rotational leadership roles that make F3 work.
First thing explained: A Weinke. YHC had one to make sure information was covered…and he still left plenty out. The cheat sheet can be found right here: Heatstroke’s Q School Weinke
The Mission of F3 was covered and the Disclaimer was given and we moseyed off for some Warmarama where we discussed proper cadence, video below is perfect in demonstrating how to do it. All pax took turns calling cadence.
YHC then took the pax through various workout ideas, to which there are endless possibilities. Great input by the pax on these. We covered pearls on a string, ladders, WIBs, etc.
Somehow YHC did a decent job of getting around the park and back to our cars with a few minutes left for Mary (abs, etc.) Tclaps to all as they agreed to extend the beatdown time so that we could go around and have the pax practice some more on cadence. YHC spoke some more around how to close a workout with counting off, Namearama, prayer requests/announcements and leading out. Dang the workout went almost 1.5 hours…
COT: Prayers for my father who continues to be in poor health, and my mother as a primary caregiver. Prayers for our world as we navigate this virus and civil unrest. Look for an announcement on a big 1st F Challenge to close out 2020 strong.
Moleskin: YHC said this would be a solid beatdown in addition to Q School. YHC clearly underestimated his own ability to talk as the “solid beatdown” pretty much didn’t happen as talking took precedence. Stealth wasn’t complaining:) Couldn’t believe checking the watch finishing Warmarama and noticed we were already 30 minutes in, yikes. Good information was passed on though and believe a solid foundation for future Qs was laid for the pax in attendance. Thanks for having me from the other side of the region and best of luck with the growth of this AO! This is a great location and I bet there are more around the area as well that could be used in the future. Have a great weekend gentlemen! Aye!
