Thang: A journey to 50 seeing places that were older than Q reminding each man of our purpose and place on Terra. Arrive at Locke mill built in 1839 reminding my brothers of the importance of adapting to make yourself the most useful. 25 x Carolina Drydocks and 25 Mountain Climbers (4C).
Mosey to car wash across the street from Oakwood cemetery which opened in 1855. 50 years ago today Q started his life just a mile down the road at Cabarrus Memorial and we are always somewhere on our journey between the hospital and graveyard. Next stop Troutman’s BBQ established 1963 as a reminder to enjoy the things you love like BBQ and fishing. 20 Windmill Planks, 20 Dying Cockroach (4C), 10 Burpees
Cabarrus Armory built 1937(possibly worst parking lot ever) to pay respect to our wonderful country, our military and first responders. 30 Merkins plus 20 WWIIs
Then mosey to the most expected spot of the workout as Q lands at the 53 parking lot. This spot originally First National NC established 1885, changed names to First Charter in 1998 and then 53 in 2008 (53 established 1862). 40 LBCs (4C) plus 10 Peter Parkers
Finally stroll to the middle of downtown Concord Church St representing the Golden Anniversary of Q and the gold strike at Reeds Gold Mine in 1896 with 15 Diamond Merks, 20 KGBs and 15 Star Jumps.
Mary: A short mosey back to OCT where the Pax thought the history tour was over but they were mistaken as OCT in 1886 was First Baptist Concord (Q’s church). FBC didn’t move from this location until 1985. This location allowed Q to read James 4:13-14 reminding Pax that our life is but a vapor in which our Lord has blessed us with. Closed it out with some Broga stopping workout exactly at 45 minutes and 0 seconds!
Moleskin: As I planned this Q to celebrate my 50 years I wanted to show the pax items older than Q to mask my age but as I planned it took on new meaning. It was a constant reminder of the Lord demanding more from us because he has given much. I had bouts of emotion as I recognized how blessed I am to have the life, family, job and friends that I do. A big piece of blessing is my opportunity to start each and every morning with a group of men that I cherish and value. You make a huge impact on me and I hope to repay you with support, laughs and Godly advice. Coffee after our morning workouts level sets my mind with laughs, stock tips and true friendship and that is what fellowship is all about. It was a perfect start to my 50th birthday. To top it off I asked for a record single day crowd to beat our previous 28. My guys produced 34 STRONG. #F3Concord #BBQbyCatfish
