Another Brick in the Wall
All The Dawg House BackblastsJuly 10th, 2020
The alarm bells go off at 0445, it’s TIME to get up. It’s YHC’s day 5 of Iron Q week. Laying there feeling COMFORTABLY NUMB, thinking he’s on the DARK SIDE of the MOON, he hears a DELICATE SOUND OF THUNDER and says no beat down today. No, it’s just the DOGS. Oh well, ONE OF THESE DAYS, he’ll fartsack. Up and at ’em and off to the DawgHouse.
YHC is the first to arrive at JM and wonders IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE? Soon enough, 7 additional pax arrive for the morning’s activities. A disclaimer is given and we’re off for a mosey. No, we didn’t RUN LIKE HELL, but it got our legs warmed up before we circled up for our warm-o-rama.
- SSHs (25 IC), ISTs (20 IC), Hairy Rockets (15 IC), Pickers (15 IC), Windmills (5 IC)
We headed to the center of the courtyard and to the brick planters, yes, there was ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL (okay, cheesy attempt to work this in) for a set of 6 routines, 10 single counts. After each of them we ran a lap around the courtyard and then did a repeato in reverse.
- Dips, Derkins, Plank Jacks, Step-ups, Incline Merkins, Box Jumps
We then headed to the parking lot, lined up and acted like ANIMALS. A quick mosey to the second parking spot, 10 single counts and an animal or animal like themed return to the start line:
- 10 Merkins / Bear Crawl
- 10 Squats / Crab Walks
- 10 Monkey Humpers / Sneaky Gorilla
- 10 Mountain Climbers / Frog Jumps
- 10 Carolina Dry Docks / Racoon Crawl
Our last stop was towards the football field where we partnered up and lined up at THE WALL. One pax did the action at the wall, while the other went to the 3rd light pole and back and swapped with your partner. We completed the following:
- People’s Chair, Jump Up Wall Taps, Air Presses, Donkey Kicks, and Balls to the Walls
Finishing up with some Mary:
- Hello Dollies (10 IC), Freddie Mercs (10 IC), Pretzel Crunches (10 IC). That’s a wrap
Prayers/Announcements: Lifting up Buck’s wife as she prepares for her exam and for the successful launch tomorrow of F3 Albemarle and FiA Cabarrus at Dorton Park
Always a pleasure to lead and enjoyed it. WISH YOU WERE HERE!
