What It Means
All BackBlasts BackblastsJuly 8th, 2020
Six men did the hard thing this morning, escaping the fart sack to help YHC return to the Gloom for the first time (officially) since my stint on the IR.
Welcomes and hellos were exchanged and YHC explained today’s route, which would take us near the new Food Lion before bringing us home. After the disclaimer, 5 took off in that direction while @brinkley began his solo walk as he is still battling a sore knee.

- Boy it felt good to be back among brothers. The last six weeks or so have been tough, both physically and mentally. Many thanks to those that continually reached out, and thanks to the five men who posted with me this morning.
- I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about F3 while I was away, and it’s easy to lose sight of the impact it has emotionally/psychologically on you when you’re in it every day. While I certainly missed the physical aspect (as evidenced by my soft midsection and struggle to run 4.5 miles) I think I missed the guys and what it brings emotionally more. I say all this to urge everyone to evaluate what this thing we have means to you and don’t take it for granted, because it’s irreplaceable when it’s not available.
- In that vein, reach out to someone you haven’t seen in a while.
- Also, let’s continue to bring some more men into the fold and introduce it to them. Lots of workouts to choose from.
- Speaking of workouts, sign up to Q. It’s the only price of admission: https://m.signupgenius.com/#!/showSignUp/10c0844aba62ca7ff2-master
- Prayers to all those still fighting Covid-19 on the front lines, and prayers for leadership from those tasked with providing it.
- Finally, #WearaMask. Sure, it’s a slight inconvenience, but the benefits for yourself and society at large have been proven. This is bigger than all of us, and it’s going to take everyone to get us to the other side.
