YHC must have been mistaken for Mr. McGoo, as he pulled out too far in the road on the way to the

kennel. He overestimated the rate of speed the car was traveling, and backed up, rather than pulling out in front. Little did he know he was behind the clown car of Loveboat and Motorboat. I’m sure they were anxious to get to the kennel and see what the Hybrid of Happiness was all about. The threat of storms were brewing, but never on the Dawghouse!

YHC had a little concern when following the nautical dynamic duo into the lot, as we were the first to arrive with only 5 minutes to spare. Per the usual, Talladega appeared from the darkness to be recognized. Yellowcake soon followed. But where was Hop Hunter, who made a commitment to be here? In true Cole Trickle fashion, he was dropping the hammer and came in on two wheels. 5 Dawgs embarked, much like a shortened field of All Star’s, one minute late, on a Hybrid run that included the neighborhood as well as the reverse apartment run. No Rucker’s could be found throughout the garage area on this morning. The Dawgs were able to get a glimpse of a Waning Moon shedding its light upon Charlotte Motor Speedway, as the first glimpse of dawn shimmered over the horizon. The beauty was too much for Talladega, as it must of reminded him duty calls, and he returned to the pits. Now down to 4 Dawgs, Hop Hunter made sure everyone was keeping up as he sling shotted to the front with a pass in the grass of YHC. YHC was pissed, but L

Loveboat was able to explain:

Loveboat:
Mayhem, you’re wandering all over the track!

Mayhem:
Yeah, well this son of a bitch just slammed into me.

Loveboat:
No, no, he didn’t slam you, he didn’t bump you, he didn’t nudge you… he *rubbed* you. And rubbin, son, is racin’.

Hop and Loveboat continued to blister the field, while YHC, Motorboat and Yellowcake were trying to make adjustments, removing some wedge, or something. Time was running out on this race, and YHC was worried, but Hop Hunter assured him they would be back in time, maybe a little over. Like clock work, a slow Hop Hunter clock mind you, we returned to the Kennel Garage area a few minutes over. Hop Hunter smiled with approval, the hammer had been dropped!
