YHC had thoughts of Fart Sack grandeur as he sloshed towards the Dawghouse, but accountability ruled, as did the thought of the drenched pride of MQ’s dryness streak. YHC heard the cries from the bow of the Loveboat that we needed more waters to navigate. Although we missed the push and guidance of the Tugboat, and he will be sorely missed until the next full moon, we managed to launch at 5:30 a.m. to press on towards the Ridge. 8 Dawgs embarked on a cruise of HOPE. No tear was shed for the Ruckers, as they had the K-9 guidance of Ol Yellow.

The Dawgs battled through rain and darkness toward the friendly waters of the Apartment Run, but hit a typhoon on the Ridge. These Dawgs got caught in frenzied cyclone of an otherwise level cruise, and back and forth they went to the surprise of unwoke hams! Loveboat must have been digging it, as once again, he was allowing everyone to ride his wake.

Upon return to the Dawghouse, coordinated perfectly with the dynamic rucking trio of Buck, Yellowcake and a well conditioned Ol Yellow, to everyone’s surprise, YHC explained that we weren’t done yet. A SOLO suicide awaited everyone. MQ was not pleased and informed YHC that these were saved for beatdowns, maybe he should try it. With whistle in hand, YHC wasn’t hearing that mumblechatter. These Dawgs were strong and persevered!

Moleskin:

Great work from 8 Dawgs and a Dog! I was not able to attend much of May, which was Mental Health Awareness Month. Not a bad idea to keep it in front of us throughout the year. Today’s cruise was meant to bring HOPE, as that’s what the world needs more than anything right now. F3 serves as a common bond, that we are not in this on a SOLO level, although in an ever evolving isolated world, many may drift that way. We can be the change that is needed and it starts from within and THE GREAT HOPE that lives within each of us! Be the difference by understanding people are hurting, confused, and ultimately, looking for any light of HOPE we can shine. Your smile or act of kindness, or disciplined approach to not rebutting someone, just because you can,, even if you are right, may be the example that sets them on the path to clearer waters, in a muddied world, that they have been needing to see. I’m proud of my brothers and how each of us lift each other up.

During the run on the Ridge, I saw all different levels and backgrounds of training, Loveboat leading the way, Hop Hunter and Wide Right running down the dream. Habs spirit shining brighter than his Neuby. Uecker showing the reason a man like him can rock a stache!
Then coming back in and seeing The Ruckers strolling in. The awesome thing though, is with each passing stride, I always hear, “good work”, “way to go”, “keep it up”. Even in the midst of pain, Yellowcake’s smile is infectious! It’s always on! That’s HOPE. That’s encouragement. That’s what we need, and that’s what we need to give! Let’s don’t do it SOLO!
