A mosey in the mist

All All MECA Backblasts

June 17th, 2020 By Nimbus

Tuesday morning 9 Pax came out for a mosey into YHC’s old stopping grounds. At 530 sharp we ventured out of the HT parking lot heading up 51.  The gloom was truly in effect with a cold 55 degree temp and light mist.  The Carolina Wedge weather setup was providing us with temps 25 degrees below normal for this time of year.

About 1 mile in we take a right into the Farmwood neighborhood and mosey past Gopher’s house.  As we make the turn around at the 2.5 mile mark YHC’s blood sugar drops, and I barely had the energy to walk back.  A huge thanks to all of the pax especially Gopher who made it a point to stay with me the whole way back.  We had a great convo and mentioned how the “leave no man behind” was one of the aspects of F3 that makes it so special.  Eventually Gopher and I make it back, as the rest of the pax bounced back and checked on us a couple of times.

We circled up and went thru namorama and finally COT.  YHC went straight to the gas station to grab some gatorade and get some simple sugar back in my body.  Booyah makes it a point to follow me over to the gas station to make sure I’m all good.

This was just another example of what makes F3 so special.  While the workout is always great, its the fellowship and camaraderie that make this group different. It is a blessing to know each of those men had my back, and made it a point to ensure I was ok.  Just another reason the Mint Hill AO is one of the best around.
