Moleskin:

1. Nine faithful Pax gathered on a warm , humid, 70 degree morning at OTC  for a Saturday morning DDay beat down.
2. The five workout stations were named after the five beaches of Allied invasion force who landed in Normandy, France on June 6, 1944 in honor of the 76thanniversary of DDay. This was a recycled workout from six, yes six, years ago that I thought nobody would remember. Exit 54’s elephant-like memory called me out in the preblast as he was one of six Pax there for Round 1 in 2014! The others were Deertick, Holy Cow, R2D2, and PTO.
3. Station 1 (Omaha Beach) was Tombstone’s favorite. It’s always fun to start the workout crawling on your belly on wet grass inches away from your good friend’s testicles to honor what our soldiers accomplished on DDay. Tombstone, I hope your maiden voyage in the Tunnel of Love was a good one and you’ll come back soon.
4. Station 3 (Gold Beach) drew lots of low volume cussing as Q watched YouTube last night to come up with a variation of V-ups called Starfish Crunches and Russian V tuck twists! I wouldn’t be surprised to see those two in a Catfish workout soon!
5. I appreciate all of you letting me get nostalgic and not getting too upset about crawling in the wet grass! As you can tell, I do love to work out with my F3 brothers, particularly on Saturdays. This Saturday, I’d been thinking about all week, not only because of the historical significance, but growing up with a father who was a B-17 pilot in WW2, NEVER let us forget what the date June 6, 1944 meant. There isn’t a day that goes by I don’t think about him and the sacrifices that he and his entire generation made to allow our generation to live in freedom. So, thank your lucky stars that you live in the USA and always remember that freedom is not free!
