Dawghouse Mixtape!
All The Dawg House BackblastsMay 27th, 2020
Run to the top of the parking lot for warmorama:
SSHs
ISTs
Windmills
Arm circles
Michael Phelps
As I was coming up with this workout, I was inspired by 4-Wide’s music during a recent beatdown at Afton. So I decided to put together a playlist of songs I remember listening to back in the day, and still think it’s some of the best music ever created. Then I thought, back in the day we didn’t have a playlist, we had a MIXTAPE! And every mixtape had an A Side and a B Side.
The Thang:
Run a lap
Mixtape A Side!
50 WWIIs
100 merkins
150 squats
Run a lap
The A Side of the Mixtape must not have been hard enough for Torch, because he never stopped talking! So on to the B Side!
Mixtape B Side!
50 LBCs
100 dips
150 step-ups
Run a lap
The step-ups are no joke and suddenly there wasn’t quite as much chatter. Or maybe they were all just enjoying the music. Either way, Loveboat learned who Kurt Cobain was today!
What I wasn’t expecting was for the men that showed up to all be in beast mode! For instance, Grassy Knoll was fighting thru 25 fire ant bites and a bottle of Benadryl, but still killing it. They finished so quickly, I had to call an audible.
Bear Crawl a lap around the courtyard. Uecker loved the Bear Crawl and wanted to continue it instead of Mary, but, we got other things to do, so only 1 lap for the Bear Crawl.
Mary:
Start out with some good stretching
Pretzel crunch right
Pretzel crunch left
Maybe something else I don’t remember.
So what was on our playlist/mixtape you ask. Here you go:
Van Halen – Right Now
Pearl Jam – Even Flow
Stone Temple Pilots – Plush
Guns N’ Roses – Sweet Child O’ Mine
Nirvana – Smells Like Teen Spirit
AC/DC – You Shook Me All Night Long
Green Day – When I Come Around
Weezer – Buddy Holly
Live – Selling the Drama
The Wallflowers – One Headlight
Hootie & the Blowfish – Hold My Hand
If you are a Michael Bolton fan, Friday’s beatdown you do not want to miss. Torch has the Q and has said he is bringing his Michael Bolton collection!
