Foggy morning back in the gloom
All Kannon BackblastsMay 22nd, 2020
04:45 and the alarm clock goes off. YHC is crawling out of bed for the his first Q in quite some time. How does it go, “one-two-three, one?” Quite the foggy start driving into Cannon Village, but a handful of pax just about ready to go, as the MQ comes in on two wheels.
Disclaimer is provided and off for a mosey down Research Campus Dr and into the village for our first stop, the alley alongside the Gem Theater, dubbed “Shooter’s Alley”. Since YHC found the alley, a warm-o-rama has not been had elsewhere. There’s something about the booming cadence calls in the alley. A quick look into the alley to make sure we’re not disturbing anything and circle up.
Warm-o-rama
- SSH x25, Pickers x15, Hillbillies x15, Low Slow Squats x15, Hairy Rockettes x15, Windmills x15
Next stop, the Dale statue plaza.
- Line up along the brick wall, complete x10 of each routine, followed by a lap around the plaza
- Incline Merks, Step-ups, Dips, Derkins, Plank Jacks
Mosey back up North Main towards the parking garage side entrance. A quick 10 shoulder ups along the wall. Then up 6 flights of stairs, across the other side of the top deck and down 6 flights of stairs and grab a railroad iron tie plate. Circle up on level 1
- On your 6, Heavy Freddies x10, Mason Twists x10, Lunge Presses x10, Arm Curls x10, Skull Crushers x10, Chest presses x10 and Man Makers x10
- Line up against the wall for a People’s Chair, followed by PC Shoulder Presses x10, PC KGBs x10, Donkey Kicks x10 and Jump-up Wall Taps
Return plate and circle up for Mary
- Hello Dollies x10, Flutter Kicks x10, Homer to Marge and One-minute Abs. That’s a wrap
Prayers/Praise/Announcements: Prayers for Trick Daddy and family on the loss of his grandfather. Continued prayers for those facing the public, emergency workers, care providers and for rational/wise decisions to be made.
As always, it’s an honor to lead. YHC has done a few OTBs and rucking during our SIP, but it was great to be officially back out there. YHC was a bit rusty after a back-injury a few weeks ago and unable to post since the SIP was lifted. It was great to be out there with a great group of pax, where YHCs F3 journey started.
An honor and pleasure!
