2 of the 3 beatdowns were dry. Guess which one wasn’t?

YHC arrived at the HC Golf Course parking lot at 5:20 to find out if the covered area was available. Unfortunately, some golfers were still returning carts (no joke). Looking at the way the golf course looked, you would think people would have returned kayaks and canoes since the course looked more like a huge lake. YHC was somewhat hoping that no one would show up in this downpour. Why didn’t YHC attend the 5:30 am or 6:30 am instead which were both dry? That way YHC would have gotten his beatdown in and could have gone home if nobody showed up for 5:30 PM rain suck fest. At 5:25, @the stig showed up and saved/ruined the day since there was no going back home. A half ass disclaimer was given and we moseyed around the parking lot before warmarama.

- Prayers for YHC’s father-in-law who has been struggling thru cancer treatment. A feeding tube was put in yesterday since he is not eating. We pray that the feeding tube will allow him to regain some strength and can resume cancer treatment. It is a huge battle he is facing, but I am a firm believer in the power of prayers.
- Thanks to @the stig for showing up today for a rain suck fest. We kept saying the rain was going to stop any second, but it actually picked up intensity. The good news, as much as that sounds ridiculous, we kind of forgot it was raining after a while since we couldn’t get any more wet.
- Shout out to The Stig for his second beatdown in a week following 3 months hibernation. @klean up beatdown Tuesday was no joke and today wasn’t that easy either.
- Don’t forget to vote for your beatdown time preference
- Prayers for all those affected by flooding with all the rain on top of fighting this freakin Covid-19.
- Keep supporting your local small businesses for your needs. The big corporations are doing fine, but let’s not forget our small business owners.
- This bullet came from our Nathan with minor edits from YHC. The 2nd core principle of F3 is that it is open to all men. All men, regardless of race, religion, etc. We want to make sure all men are comfortable, and welcome, always. I bring his up because we have some zany names for exercises that we do in the gloom that have generally been passed down before we ever were in F3 and we continue to use…even maybe when we shouldn’t. There have been rumblings about one in particular: The Cotton Picker. Maybe some of you don’t use this exercise name, but I know many do. I propose it time to retire the name. I am not sure where the name came from honestly, maybe it originated at the beginning of F3, I don’t know. Either way, it is not on the F3 Exicon page. There is a reference to the Daisy Picker, which appears to be the official name now. I’ve been using the name Weed Picker, which I assume some of you thought I was calling Weed Picker because I am Canadian and marijuana is legal in Canada. I’ve been to many AOs around the country where I heard it called Weed Picker, Grass Picker, Daisy Picker, and “Through the tunnel”. This is just a recommendation to not call it the CP anymore. If there are others you find questionable, I’m all ears. They are just exercise names, they are expendable. Thanks brothers
- Always an honor to lead this group.
