Stepping Off at The Mill

All BackBlasts Backblasts

Warmarama:   Mosey down to the Veterans Memorial for a random amount of several exercises.  This seemed to either confuse or infuriate Fire Chicken or maybe both so I kept it up.  Random amount of side straddle hops.  I think 18.  Random amount of ISTs. I think maybe 12.  I don’t remember how many cotton pickers or wind mills.  Explained to our visitors that the memorial would be station 2 in our ladder beatdown.

We then moseyed to 3 statue for station #1.  The first exercise of the ladder was part of the workout during the research study where they kicked my butt.  I don’t know if it has a name but let me explain.  You stand up on the brick wall about 2.5 to 3 feet high then you walk off and land in a squat and finish it off with a squat jump.  That is 1.   So the ladder goes complete the soon to be name exercise at 3 statue then run up Main Street to the memorial for 10 LBCs in cadence.  Run back to 3 statue for 2 of the soon to be named exercises.  Run back and forth until you finish the ladder and return to 3 statue.

Next phase was a slow jog to the putting green for some merkins.  20, then rest, 10, then rest, 5, then rest.

I wanted to give our visitors a tour of campus so we lined up for an Indian Run down the street through the street scapes and by the baseball stadium where baseball probably won’t be played.  We ended at the parking deck.

The final phase was to grab a plate in the deck and complete 20 reverse grip curls then run up the ramp and quadro the next ramp. Down the steps then repeato.  Some of us may have completed that 4 times.  We then swapped curls for a few rounds of bent over rows.

I must say I was proud of this beatdown for prepping in the car as I drove up.  I hope everyone enjoyed it.

Prayers and thanks for Avalanche and 10 and 2 for visiting us.  Glad to have them and they worked hard.  Prayed for the fact that we could get out there today in a beautiful town and prayed for those that could not.  Hope to see them soon.  Gunny was very passionate about us living our lives but heading all the warnings about the corona virus.  Please stay safe and wash your hands.

Proud to be out there with you men.  Happy to provide some time to get our minds off of the daily grind.  Thanks!!!
