Greenway fun
All Rolling Stone BackblastsFebruary 26th, 2020
Temp was mid-upper 40’s and pretty foggy. Spark Nut decided to grace us with his presence this morning. Good to see you back at the gloom of Rolling Stone! Kilowatt was the only one to show with a ruck sack, so I decided to do the run/ruck fist bump on the Greenway. The plan was to be back to the AO at 6:10 so we can have time for #f3mentalbattle. The plan was to just stay on the greenway and keep coming back to fist bump the lone rucker so he wasn’t alone the whole time. When we reached the end of the greenway we had some time left. So we modified…..we were going to run from the end to the first cutout you come to and go back and fist bump Kilowatt, then to the pavilion and come back and fist bump again, then once more at the end. I thought that would get some miles in and keep us all safe on the greenway on this dark, wet, foggy day. Well, Kilowatt was thinking of the time too and wasn’t aware of the in-run modify to the return fist bumps on the second half of the run, so he cut up one of the cutouts and rucked back thru Moss Creek to the AO. We runners circled back and forth a few times and ended up getting a good 4 miles in. Unfortunately, my watch failed me on this run, so I’m not sure of the exact mileage, but it had to be at least 4 miles. All arrived back at the AO together at 6:10, except for Hot Pack who had to leave early. I’m sure he left at like 5:50 as fast as he runs.
COT / Announcements
Prayers for my M, as she came down with chills, fever, body aches and sore throat last night. She has a fever tonight but isn’t worse nor better. I won’t be at the beatdown in the morning because of this. She needs sleep. I pray it is a quick illness and doesn’t spread to me or the 2.0’s.
Prayers to Heatstroke’s Dad as he now fights infection in his teeth. The man keeps getting knocked down with new symptoms. We pray for strength for him and his M to keep fighting and for them to finally catch a break.
#f3mentalbattle was also discussed. Remember fellas, we’re humans. Our brains are all wired differently from each other. We have feelings. Share those feelings when you need to. Communication is a major factor in keeping a healthy mental state. Each COT that we have is open for you to talk about issues in your life that you just need to get off your chest or issues that your brothers can help you with. We got each other’s back and this is one of the many reasons F3 is so important to me.
Thanks for joining me today. Until next time…………
