All BackBlasts Backblasts

YHC returned to the site of 2019’s greatest Q debacle in Concord, nay in F3MECA, possibly the Nation (but that my be overstating things a bit) to redeem himself with a beatdown that would do the impossible: Give Grover a challenge and keep Backdraft close enough to heckle him.  The temperature was perfect for a beatdown.  A slight drizzle on the way to the AO was a bit of a concern, but we remained dry save the sweat that only an F3 beatdown can bring. Here’s how it went down:

WARMORAMA: Lap the parking lot with butt kickers and high knees and mosey to the bottom lot for SSH x20 IC, Hillbillies x15 IC (got it right this time), BSNs x10 IC, Burpees x5 OYO, and of course Arm Circles.

THE THANG: Pax were instructed that the bottom lot would be the leg, no wait, check that, cardio station, then moseyed to the block/rock pile for instruction. Of course, Java had to show the QIC to the new home of the pile.  This would be the weighted exercise station.  After 10 Man makers OYO, the pax would mosey to the the basketball court?, no, pull up bars?, no, that thing with the concrete floor and wooden roof? oh yeah! the shelter for the core station.  First man there picks a core exercise and starts. Each man follows suit until the 6 shows up and does 10 reps in cadence. Java being fleet of foot arrived first and started off strong with KGBs.  The the PAX moves together to the lower parking lot.  The first man there picks a cardio exercise and starts. Each man follows suit until the 6 arrives and does 10 reps. FireChicken, not wanting to have to count apparently (VA education at work) starts with  a bear crawl.  Getting the point, we moseyed back up to the rock pile to start the next round with skull crushers per Grover.

All in all we completed approximately 6 rounds never repeating an exercise. Of course I wouldn’t call Peter Parkers a cardio exercise (more like a stupid idea that should never be brought up again, Popeye) but it does get the heart rate up.  There was nice competition between the three or four leaders who gave each other a push and various men took their place as the six.  Grover and Spud both took compassion on the 6 at various times, calling the cadence while their breathless brother tried to regain his composure.

Mary was called after returning the blocks to their proper location. Mary included some planking and broga.

COT: Proverbs 9:10,12 (Grandmaster paraphrase) says “We’re only given 70 years here on earth, 80 if we are strong…..So take account of the time you have and use it wisely.”  Guys, 70 years may seem like a long time, but most of us are past the halfway point. On top of that we’re not guaranteed to make it to tomorrow. So make each day count. Love your wife, hug your kids, encourage a brother and serve the Creator.  He longs to live in you and through you, and that’s the wisest way to use the days you have been given.
