Crazy 8
All Highlands BackblastsFebruary 10th, 2020
When YHC arrived at the Sportsclub a few minutes after 5:00 to set up his pain stations, he noticed a truck in the parking lot and thoughts that some teenagers were getting an early start. Come to find out it was our vagabond @gulfstream who decided to join the Mettle fun this morning and started with 2 mile warmup. After YCH finished setting up the 8 stations of pain, 6 others showed up beasty for a dose of Mettle in cold Monday morning. A disclosure was given last night that the Trailer of Pain would not make an appearance but Pain would be nevertheless plentiful! The PAX in shorts thoughts it was colder than expected and those of us who were bundled up thought it was warmer than expected. Oh well, YHC promised the PAX would remain warm during the beatdown. Full disclosure was given and we then moseyed to round about circled up for warmarama.

- Prayers and shout out for @hugo who will be traveling to Nicaragua today to help those who are not as fortunate as we are.
- Prayers for those affected by coronavirus and that it will get under control sooner than later.
- Don’t forget to sign up for the 2020 Passport challenge which starts March 1st. PAX will get a total of 60 workout days (excluding Sundays) to attend beatdown at all 14 AOs. Cost of the challenge is $10.00 which PAX will receive a nice patch designed by YHC’s daughter Chloe. The link to the sign up sheet is attache. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jF2QCLJU3SKfzxHBXmMrh6ljtxu-vewMyJCM8iiE_bE/edit?ts=5bb2185e&pli=1#gid=0
- Although the full Trailer of Pain was not there, the modified beatdown of just Pain was sufficient. As promised by YHC, the PAX remained warm. Some layers were coming off during the beatdown, starting during Warmarama and throughout (tuque/hat/beanie), depending on where you are from.
- Timelapse reminder – May 15-16
- Please take a moment to reach out to some of the PAX we have not seen a while. They might just need the extra motivation to get out there. There are numerous excuses to stay in bed these cold mornings, but sometime a quick touch base by another PAX goes a long way.
- YHC will ensure of better music selection next time. Too many “pole dancing” tunes this am. YHC selected Journey’s channel by mistake instead of 80’s classic rock. It is now time to accept he fact that YHC needs the whole man reading glasses.
- Again, great to see @gulfstream join us. Don’t wait to long to come back!
- Have a great week! It was a pleasure leading this group today.
