A visit to the Mill
All Kannon BackblastsJanuary 10th, 2020
A comfortable morning at the Mill for the ten pax that were ready to hit the streets of Kannapolis. After.a kind-a-sorta disclaimer for the veteran pax, eight of us took off for a mosey, while Fire Chicken waited for his FNG family member to arrive.
We arrived at YHC’s warm-o-rama destination of choice, the alley alongside The Gem Theater for some booming cadence calls:
- SSH (x25 IC), Hillbillies (x15 IC),Hairy Rockettes (x15 IC),Cotton Pickers (x15 IC), Windmills (x15 IC)
Next up a short stroll over to the Dale statue pavilion and grab a spot along the brick wall for the following:
- Dips (x10), followed by a lap around the statue, Derkins (x10) + lap, Step Ups (x5/leg) + lap, Plank Jacks (x10) + lap, 1 armed merkin (x10) + lap
- Repeato of above in reverse order
We headed up Main Street towards the walk-way next to the parking deck for a 10 to 1 ladder of Mountain Climbers in cadence and shoulder/wall-ups. Then we headed to the top deck of the parking lot and descended with x10 WWIIs at each level and back to our start point for Mary.
- Flutter Kicks (x10 IC), Hello Dollies (x10 IC), The W (x10 IC), Dying Cockroaches (x10 IC), Freddie Mercs (x10 IC) and some Homer to Marge. We wrapped up the morning with some stretching.
Announcements, Prayers:
- The Gremlin, this Saturday. Discuss clown-car options. 6am at UNCC, meet at the West Deck by the soccer field
- Prayers for Australia and rains to help fight the wildfires. For our military and the events taking place in the Middle East and for The Burgh’s M, fighting illness.
Always a pleasure to lead in the best AO in MeCa.
