Cruisin’ the Back Nine
All All MECA BackblastsJanuary 8th, 2020
At the beginning of the week, Disaster posted on Slack that there were a number of openings this week so YHC decided to take one of the easy ones. After reading Disaster’s backblast about Q’s, YHC has to try and keep up with Dutch Boy.
6 of MeCa’s finest decided to join YHC for the cruise this morning. Unsure if the wet weather would keep us away from the “gawf” course, YHC said the back nine was tentative. Luckily, the weather was perfect and the moisture held off yesterday (for the most part), so the back nine it was.
2nd F was flowing and Gordo and Glock were moving. YHC circled back a time or two but everyone had a good pace this morning and enjoyed the quiet and calm of the “gawf” course.
We got back in time for a little stretching.
Announcements:
Time Laps(e): YHC will be putting out a Pre-Blast in the coming weeks and we will try and do some training runs leading up to the event.
The Gremlin: Right around the corner guys. If you haven’t signed up, do it. You will regret not giving it a try. It is truly a moving event.
MeCa Challenge: Still time to sign up and challenge yourself. 100, 150 or 200 posts in a year. At 200 posts, that is only 4 per week. You CAN do it.
COT:
Prayers to all those serving our country. It is truly a tumultuous time. Prayers to the families of those serving. The unknown can be/is more scary than the known. Prayers to our leaders to allow cooler heads to prevail and prevent any further lose of life. No matter your political leanings, the safety and well being of our troops should always be paramount. I am a firm believer in si vis pacem, para bellum, and the most crucial piece of that philosophy is seeking peace. Let us all hope and pray for peace.
