Brick Tour. Concluded.
All Rolling Stone BackblastsJanuary 7th, 2020
The bricks got a tour of the outer reaches of the Rolling Stone AO upon their arrival last week, today they would complete the tour with a stroll of the Odell Primary grounds. After all the stragglers rolled in, we had 8 and it was time to roll. To the Kareem Abdul Jabbar entertainment facility. Time for…
Warmarama: SSH, Merkins, MCs, WMs, WM 2.0s
The Thang: Everybody grab two bricks. Back to KAJ for a Brick-Mas beatdown. Mas, as in No Mas. Partner up. One partner does People’s Chair against the wall with various static holds with bricks, cycling through out front, to side, overhead, and overhead with a “Y.” Switch when partner returns from No Mas medley. All done with bricks in hand, except bear crawls.
- Run
- Side Shuffle
- Quadraphelia
- Carioca
- Frogger
- Slalom
- Bear Crawl
- Burpee Broad Jumps
- Power Skip
We tour ourselves around the back of the school. I believe the bricks were enjoying themselves. We pull up to the back corner of the school near the swings for some more partner work. 3 rounds. Partner runs and does 5 swerkins and returns to relive partner who has been doing brick presses in peoples chair.
Next, we hop the fence and arrive at the front of the school. The bricks are told that the APFT is run here, but also, traditionally – Sharknado! Let’s get a taste. 10 Brickees (yes, you guessed it, burpees with bricks) then a lap. We then return for 15 Diamond merkins (QIC was pretty pleased with having the pax arrange their bricks where corners were touching for a form police type of move for this.) We run a lap, but alas, as time is starting to run short and the tour is just over half complete, we break off and head to the long wall at the side of the school. The bricks might see plenty of action here in the future.
Static hold out front with bricks while pax do brickees one at a time. Once complete with line, we move on back to the KAJ. QIC has pax do one, single get up per arm with one brick resting/balancing on their palm – do not use fingers to grab the brick. Then 10 overhead squats. Then 10 brick windmills per side. Then 5 per side of brick bent presses (google bent press.)
Return the blocks.
Mary: Back to the main lot for 10 crab jacks and 50 LBCs (crowdpleaser.)
Recover, recover.
COT: Prayers for injured pax. Kumho’s MIL who recently had a pacemaker put in and appears to be recovering well. We definitely ask the Lord to life up Drew, Sara and Mason as they grieve the loss of their son Grant. Most of us will not have to deal with what has to be the unimaginable pain of losing a child. Our hearts go out to them and hopefully Boucher’s visit today for a meal is a comfort to them and brings them some level of peace.
Moleskin: Well done gents! Great to see Kumho, Boucher and Soprano make their New Year appearance. I am guessing this is Sparky’s debut at RS in 2020 as well, but he no doubt has been posting elsewhere in the new year #respect. Tclap to Boucher picking up Thursday’s Q and to Soprano volunteering for tomorrow’s, only to find out Roomba already picked it up. If Roomba was there this morning, he could have corrected us himself… With Manwich picking up Friday, we are all filled up for this week. Let’s get the rest of the month filled up boys! Kumho also mentioned he was ready to jump into the Q rotation, but might need some help…no problem brother, we got you. Way to start 2020 strong gentlemen! Let’s keep it up!
