3-Pax DORA at the stone

All Rolling Stone Backblasts

November 5th, 2019 By Steel Cannon

7 dedicated, manly men posted for this morning’s chilly beatdown.  Temp around 45.  Ideal conditions.  Here’s how it all went down.

Plank it up for a short disclaimer.  Soprano pulls in the parking lot, so we wait for him to get to the circle and recover.  Let’s mosey towards HRMS to get Heatstroke to comment on YHC always going to HRMS.  Comment made before we get to the end of the parking lot.  Mission accomplished!  Hang a left around the back of the bus lot and head over to the teacher’s lot.  Let’s run the parking lot lines.  Up a line, shuffle to next line, run backwards to end of line, shuffle to next line, repeato.  Halfway through the lot we changed it to a bear crawl for 2 of the lines and then continued forward/backward.  Circle up under the warm glow of the light.

Warmarama

No SSH’s performed since we got the heart rate going early with the line running.

Windmill x 10 IC

Arm circles OYO

Merkins x 10 IC

Plank jacks x 15 IC

Temp squats x 10 IC

Split the circle into 2 groups of 3 and I’ll be the odd-man out.  Let’s mosey to basketball court.  Each 3-man team grabs a cinder block for the team and an extra one for YHC while I grab the weinkes and lanterns out of my truck.

The Thang:

One teammate starts at Station 1 and one at Station 2 performing the below exercises. The 3rd teammate is the timer and carries the block from Station 1 to Station 2.  When he gets to Station 2, he relieves 2nd teammate and continues the count from where he stopped.  2nd teammate then carries block back to relieve 1st teammate and continues count from there.  Rinse and repeat until all exercises are completed.  YHC grabbed a block and shadowed Soprano throughout the workout.

Station 1
Burpees X 100
Merkins X 300
LBCs X 500 (Single Count)

Station 2
Squats X 200
Lunges X 400 (Single Count)
Mountain Climbers X 600 (Single Count)

There’s a little more time left than I thought, so let’s line up against the wall, people’s chair style.  Get close enough to be able to pass blocks to one another.  Start with all 3 blocks on side closer to the playground.  It will be kinda like an Indian Run.  Pass the blocks to the right, person on the end who gets a block runs with the block to the front of the line and passes it off.  We keep revolving until the line runs out of wall space.  Last 3 people holding the blocks returns them to their home.

Now it’s time for some Mary.  We arrive to the lot with an active vehicle.  It is voting day and signs are out.  In order to avoid any risk of being ran over while doing Mary, we moved the circle to the sidewalk.  It was at this moment, one of the voter workers asked us where we parked.  We pointed to our cars 50 feet away.  “Well can you move them to the other lot so voters can park here?”  “Um, we’ll be done in 3 minutes.  On your 6!”

Finish the workout the way it started.  Low plank for about 35 seconds.

Recover, recover.
