Saved by The Rain…..

All Kannon Backblasts

October 30th, 2019 By Thomas DeBoyace

As the wise prophets Milli and Vanilli once said….Blame it on the rain.

6 PAX joined the QIC for a morning of playing in the rain. Will it Rain or will it not? As luck would have it for the PAX rain was in the forecast so I kept it close to mary and the parking deck.  I had a Nightmare on Elm workout planned but that fell through do to the weather. (This will be coming back to haunt everyone….I promise!)  So I went with version 3 of 3!  2 of the 3 was in the deck in the event of rain.

Warmorama:

Mosey to Veterans Torch for 30 SSH (IC), 15 IST’s (IC), 15 Mtn Climbers (IC), 10 BD Saturday Nights (IC), 10 down/ups on QIC count.  Mosey back toward mary but stop and get cinder blocks first.

The Thang:

It was an AYG (All You Got) workout day!

Partner up: 1 Partner runs the first loop in front of parking deck while the other does the workout AYG style until running partner returns.

AYG items – Curls with Cinder block, man makers with cinder block, Russian Twist (no block), Laying down overhead extension with cinder block, and then squats with cinder block.

Rinse and repeat.  Everyone got through 2 rounds.  With less than 10 minutes to spare we did a bonus round of workout 2 that was in the deck as rain started to fall mid-workout so I decided to finish in the deck.

Bonus Round in the parking deck – 10 Angle Grinders, run up steps to level 3 for 30 LBC’s (IC) and back down to Mary.

Mary – 1 minute to spare for free stretching.

Prayers – Continued prayers for Total Package and his wife, Grandmaster and his shoulder.

Moleskin – Everyone showed up this morning awaiting their fate with the unknown of the weather.  A the start there was some chatter during warmorama where I think only 2 guys even participated in the counting.  Chatter turned to quiet once the workout started.  It was good to change things up and add some weights in.  The parking deck angle grinders was a bit of a mess as we have never done these before.  This QIC really likes to change things up and try new exercises.  Not sure how well this one was taken as the QIC really jacked up the count but nevertheless it will be back.  Along with my Alligators and Nightmare on Elm!  Beware my brothers!  This is F3 and F3 counts!

It was an honor to lead today!
