5 PAX gathered on a chilly morning at the LifeTime fitness near UNCC and the Toby Creek Greenway. YHC planned a fun run through the UNCC campus and was relieved to see some alumni present who assured me they would prevent me from getting lost.  We set out on the Toby Creek Greenway and ran all the way to the junction with the Mallard Creek Greenway before turning around and heading for the campus.  We weaved in and out of campus so fast we made the ROTC cadets gaze in awe, and wonder just who these incredibly fast old men with headlights were.  We zigged. We zagged. We went up stairs, down stairs, and around fountains which Gentle Grizzly swears recently replaced a giant phallic symbol in the middle of campus. College just isn’t as fun anymore I suppose.

At one point, we lost track of Sterling for quite a while. Rumors were muttered of some indecent exposure scenarios that Sterling himself confirmed by saying that he “technically isn’t supposed to be on campus according to the law”. This revelation shocked no one as Sterling’s shirt seems to rise higher and higher the longer our runs go until he reaches critical mass at a weird crop top situation.  Seriously Sterling, just don’t wear a shirt.  We made our way back to the LifeTime fitness parking lot with everyone reaching about 4.5 miles or greater.  TrailMix congratulated YHC on the route and dryly stated that he “wouldn’t have shown up if we were running some David Taylor crap again.” Constructive criticism. Always appreciated.

Anyways, thanks for coming out gents! I had a blast running with you.  We should seriously make an effort to mix it up with launch points and routes to keep things interesting. See you next time!
