This beatdown brought to you by that “I don’t always” guy meme
All The Dawg House BackblastsSeptember 27th, 2019

14 men answered the call of the preblast from last night, beat the fartsack, and showed up in the gloom to see if YHC was going to use plan A, plan Two, or Plan D. Buck provided a scouting report last night informing us that the tennis courts were closed due to resurfacing and Dial-Up made a motion for Plan D, so that’s what we did. 0530 hit, a disclaimer was given that everything today is just a suggestion, and we moseyed up the parking lot.

I had a little fun with the preblast last night. It led to a lot of mumblechatter on Slack and in the warmorama, but the mumblechatter quickly died once we got to Round 1. As predicted, Hop Hunter told us how sore he is from the Iron Pax challenge. Apparently he is not a Bonnie Blair fan. Torch must have been feeling the beers from last night because he was unusually quiet today. Buck was fast on Round 1 and asked what to do when he finished, so YHC said to pick up the Six. He didn’t ask again. Birdcage was back and had good form on the Bobby Hurleys, maybe he played basketball. Hokie Pokie killed it in the courtyard, making fast work of those sets.
On the sprints, Rosin Bag’s 50% speed looks like my 150% speed, if I had 150% speed. Pharoah got a head start on one Sprint by 4 paces, but Rosin Bag is fast. Talladega and Habs acted like they were on the track, drafting and rubbin’. Spauldini didn’t have a rucksack to hold him back and it looked like he enjoyed it. Uecker is an inspiration, he has lost an entire person’s worth of weight since starting F3 and kills it in a beatdown. Pocahontas was in beast mode, he got a 5k run in before the beatdown. Dial-Up ran faster and stronger than 5G, it was great to have him back out with us.
Somehow Uecker picked YHC as the Dawghouse HIM of the week. I am honored, but not worthy. It is because of the real HIMs at the Dawghouse that show up regularly that make me want to show up and make myself and others better. Guys, your encouragement over the last couple years has made a huge impact on me. Keep posting, keep encouraging, and keep pushing.
And remember, some mornings you aren’t showing up for yourself, you are showing up for another man that needs you to be there.
