The Iron Pax of Kannon
All Kannon BackblastsSeptember 13th, 2019
Seven made participated in Week 2 of the Iron Pax Challenge. After arriving, the pax headed to the construction materials pile to collect their coupon. The Kannon blocks were just a big larger than standard Iron Pax regulation blocks. YHC completed the same challenge two days before at Afton and knew what was in store, but I had signed up to Q. T-claps to Cupid who also did the challenge but came out anyway
We gathered in front of the garage for an overview of week two. YHC had the the runs mapped out, but had to do an audible because of construction on Main St.
Week 2’s block shenanigans included:
- 10 – Man Makers
- 20 – Shoulder presses
- 30 – Kettle bell swings
- 40 – Goblet Squats
- 50 – Incline Merks
After each round, a run followed:
- 1600m – 2 runs from the garage to the Gem Theater/Veterans Park intersection and back
- 1200m – 1 run to the Gem Theater and back, 1 run to the driveway entrance to the research building and back
- 800m – 1 run to the Gem Theater and back
- 400m – 1 run to the driveway entrance and back
This was a tough challenge to complete in the allotted 45 minutes. The Kannon pax couldn’t beat the unofficial best time time of about <25 minutes.
Prayers, announcements:
- Lifting up Red Oak and his family with the loss of his father in a tragic accident on the farm
- Prayers for Cupid’s 2.0 (K) with her testing and schoolwork at UNCC.
Always a pleasure to lead!
