September 7th, 2019 By The Farm

EIGHT men came together at the Valley to log some miles. YHC miraculously arrived around 5:28am to find @Pleasure and @2Step conversing in the parking lot. YHC got excited at first because I did not see @Pleasure’s car and thought he’d run from his place. When I did eventually see it, I was a little disappointed. @Jumanji, who I don’t think I’ve seen in 2019, also emerged from the shadows. Introductions were made and we were o…wait, is that @kilowatt?? @Kilowatt jumped out of his car as approximately 5:32am saying he’s ready to run SIXTEEN miles this morning…alright then.

First route @2step, @pleasure, @kilowatt, @jumanji, @the farm, @ajax (where’d he even come from??)

I missed most of the conversation along this route because I had to run back to my car to drop off the car key so my M could get her stuff out whenever she arrived for her 20 miler.

Next, @Fillbuster, who has been hiding since SMR back in April to avoid getting pulled onto a BRR team again, met us on Prosperity. Funny, because I had meant to tag him on Slack the night before to be sure he saw the routes I posted…and he did. @gordo, another SMR vet, parked and we were off!

Some interesting conversations took place…I never knew pest control could be so interesting… @2step ran 13.06 miles (just go for the half marathon man…). The guys circled up for COT as YHC and @kilowatt headed out for route three.

Third route @kilowatt, @the farm

I got to enjoy some 2nd F along the way and felt a LITTLE bad about the elevation I subjected @kilowatt to…but he’s training for Charlotte Marathon and this will be good for him! He finished his 16, I had 18.7, rounded out my 21 miles, and was the last to leave. We left stronger than we were when we arrived this morning!
