All BackBlasts Backblasts

August 4th, 2019 By Blue Crush

11 Pax started their weekend off right with on a muggy and gloomy Saturday Morning.  The sweat started dripping and lungs burring quickly.  The rest went something like this.

Warm-O-Rama

Mosey to large tennis court

The First Thang

LT. Dan with Merkins and Mountain Climbers.  The count was 4:1 ratio walking lunges starting with 4 lunges, 1 squat, 8 merkins, 8 mountain climbers; 8 lunges, 2 squats, 8 merkins, 8 mountain climbers….. continue this progression ending with 40 lunges, 10 squats, 8 merkins, 8 mountain climbers.

A bit of mumble chatter at the beginning about the simple counting that seamed to confuse a few of our RESPECTABLE Pax….. Or were they just trying to aggravate the Q.  Either way it does not matter.  One of them can only count to 1 so I know it would all work itself out.

The mumble chatter quickly subsided and the pax started sweating and remained focused on the count as they did not want to start over.

The Next Thang

Mosey into the woods to the intersection stopping for 20 Plank jacks.  Indian run the longer route down the trail ending at the rock pile.

The Final Thang

20ish minutes of 3 simple exercises.  Instructions were given and the following ensued.

Mosey back to the Korean War Memorial and circle up for……

Mary

Each Pax took a turn leading an exercise until time expired.  We did a fast and slow version of Flutter Kicks, Plank Jacks, LBC’s, WWII’s, a new exercise brought to us from Denver via Metro Dog but I do not remember the name he called it and possible one or 2 other exercises that I do not recall.
