11 gathered to play with blocks

All Afton Backblasts

June 5th, 2019 By Jeff Wedner

Booter had his first Q since March, after over-coming a shoulder injury, so he did not want to disappoint. He thought about how to maximize the 45 minutes, and remembered @Amway was nice enough to donate some cinder blocks, so….why not take advantage.

530 arrives so a disclaimer was given and we were off.

Warm-up:

Mosey around the parking lot, incorporate side shuffles, high knees and butt kickers.

Circle- up: SSH x 20 IC, Hillbillies x 20 IC (c’mon Q, learn to count), Cotton Pickers x 15 IC, Arm Circles forward and backwards.

The Thing: Time to get down to business, Partner up and grab a block to share, move down towards to the tennis courts.

Exercises: Bicep Curls, Shoulder Press, Triceps Press, Squats, Step-ups, Kettleball Swings.

Partner work, one does the exercises while the other is timer (runs to the playground and does 5 pull-ups or rows). When timer gets back, swap and go. Repeat until each person does 200 reps of the 6 exercises.

Its 610 already, did anyone finish?? Put blocks back. Time for Mary.

WW2 x 15 OYO, 1 minute Plank

Recover, Recover

Moleskine: Q was a little over-ambitious of his own fitness levels and may have bitten off more than he could chew with the workout. There was no quit and the men kept pushing through to the end to get as many reps as possible, but it was a beast of a goal for the timeframe. There was grumbling along the way, but hopefully everyone got their money’s worth!
