5/9/19 BackBlast from the Week Back
All BackBlasts BackblastsMay 13th, 2019
17 Pax awoke to a wing and prayer and showed up anyway!
Warmup:
Mosey to the mall parking lot
SSH – 20x
IST – 15x
Slow Mercs – 10x
The THANG:
Mosey to the other side of the parking lot (near JCP!) and the “wing it” begins! Q may have given everyone a hint when he counted off wrong and just told people to get in groups of 3. Despite the minor confusion, it was “GO TIME!”
Partner 1: Pacer – runs 1 lap around the mall
Partner 2/3: Complete the given exercise and finish all reps BEFORE Pacer returns. Reps could be done at the top, middle, or end of the parking lot, depending on the exercise
Suicide run would be completed by whoever lost (sort of)
Round 1:
100 Mercs – Start at the sidewalk x10, run to the middle x10, run to the end of the lot x10, repeato until 100 total are reached or until partner returns!
This was a close one with most Pax finishing their 100 mercs as most others returned from their lap. A truce was called and no one had to run suicides.
Round 2: 100 Squats – Start of the sidewalk x10, end of the lot x10 , NO stopping in the middle repeato until 100 or until partner returns
Again, some slight confusion as it was about 1/2 and 1/2 so Q decided EVERYONE needed to complete the suicide
Round 3: 100 Low Flutter (each leg – so technically 200 total)
Start of sidewalk x10, middle x10, end x10 – repeato
Round 4: Combo Round (100 total – dips at the start x10, lunges in the middle x10, WWII at the end x10)
Indian Run back to AO
Light Broga stretching
Moleskin:
So I didn’t completely “wing” it. I just wasn’t sure how long the laps around the mall would take. By the 3rd round, it was flowing like the blond chic’s hair in a Motley Crue music video! I actually took a lot of pride in hearing the “it’s a lot of running” comments from many PAX, especially El AB who stated he thought he ran more today than during his Indian Run Marathon on Wed! I’m not a one-trick pony and thought I’d keep it fresh for all. All in all, it seemed to work.
Prayers for UNCC, Grandmaster, and those are sick and always fighting! As always, it is a blessing, honor, and privilege to lead. Jesus told the disciples that since He set an example for them (in washing their feet and serving others in humility) that we should do that also. I am proud of the example we all set each day. Never forget the impact you can make each and every day. Big shout-out to Sherlock (who since I am so late in sending this out already has a cool F3 name since he survived TP and the workout of doom on Saturday) and is going to keep coming!!!
