We saw Stoli, but there wasn’t any skipping involved

Five brave men showed up this morning at HCSC to ignore the temptations of the kettle bells and instead honor the memory of Lt. Michael Patrick Murphy through our monthly running of the Murph. @Stoli made his annual appearance at the Highlands today and was introduced to some of the awe-struck newer members of the PAX. Clearly his reputation precedes him. Here’s how everything went down:
- Run One Mile and return to the playground
- 10 Pull Ups
- 20 Merkins
- 30 Air Squats
- Repeat Exercises X 10
- Run One Mile and return to the parking lot

- As mentioned earlier, it was great to see @Stoli out in the gloom again. He is not one of the seven founding fathers of Highlands but he was definitely one of the first regulars. He claims to be posting down in F3 Mint Hill so we’re glad he’s still getting out there.
- So if @Stoli was there then where the @#%&!! was @Pavarotti?
- My favorite moment of the day was when @Stoli was introduced to @Dutch Boy and after a brief hesitation Dutch realizes “Oh you’re the guy we named the skips after!” The legend lives.
- Nice job by all of the PAX today. @Stoli crushed the running portion, but was slowed down by his commitment to the big boy pull ups (he finished all 100 the right way). @Kool Aid was the top finisher, followed closely by running sensation @Illuminati. I thought I had @Sully beat for a while but he was just doubling down on his exercises early and finished well ahead of me. YHC was a distant fifth place finisher but in my defense the competition was pretty fierce.
- Just a reminder that the Highlands Seven Year Anniversary Convergence is this Saturday May 4 at MCCP from 7-8AM. @Gordo, @Murdock, and @Powerball will be your Q’s. I will be picking up biscuits, doughnuts, and coffee for some second F afterwards so if you would like to donate some money to the cause this week it will be much appreciated. Thanks to @Kool Aid who was my first cash donor this morning.
- @Alcatraz has the Q at HCES tomorrow and is threatening to throw something new at the PAX so show up and see what he has in store for us. I’m sure it will be painful.
