YHC must admit given that is is Spring Break the he was more than a bit concerned about the turnout for the beat-down. Thinking maybe it would have been good idea for a combined for a convergence with Afton. But as YHC approached the DawgHouse he sees lights from several cars already in the parking lot. In all there were 6 Dawgs showed on a pleasant Wednesday morning to see what YHC had in store.

Warm-a-rama

Nice long mosey from the lower lot to upper lot with some pleasant banter and circle up.

• SSH x 20 IC

The Thang

Mosey to the Dawg Pound (aka tennis courts) and partner up for some upper body work. Much like Talladega YHC loves some pull ups. Even though YHC can’t knock them out like Talladega.

• Pull Ups x 10
• Dips x 20
• Picnic Table Curls x 20
• Air Squats x 15-20
• Repeato x 3
• PAX Plank until everyone is done

Mosey to weight room area for some fun with the tires. Each PAX picks a tire to toss around from wall to wall.

• Left Hip Toss  wall to wall
• Right Hip Toss wall to wall
• Overhead Toss wall to wall x 2
• Overhead Tire Run wall to wall x 2

YHC was in a good mood given the pleasnat weather and took a special request from Torch to flip the tractor tires. So YHC decided to make it a flip-off with the big tractor tires That went like this.

• Two teams of 3 with one team member on opposite end about halfway between the two walls.
• Partner 1 flip the tire until reaching partner 2.
• Partner 2 does lunges until partner 1 arrives with the tire and flapjack.
• Partner 3 planks or plank jacks until partner 2 arrives with the tire flapjack
• Reapeato

What’s a beat-down without Burpees!

• 5 Burpees
• 10 Squat jumps
• Repeato
• Merkins x 10 IC (Down and hold on YHC and UP on YHC)

Mosey to Mary

• WWII x 10 IC
• Planks Tabata Style (Plank, Rt hand up, Lt hand up, Plank, J-Low)
• Abs with Habs ( in honor of Habs return)

• Prayer for Turbines brother-in-law. Colon cancer survivor but has been diagnosed with lung cancer

Moleskin

As always a pleasure to lead today. Great work put in all the way around by the PAX. It was certainly nice to be in short sleeves and work up a real sweat for a change. Guruka is a beast. Don’t let his mild manner and soft spoken-ness fool you. When we moved to the tractor tire from the wall he was going on about how heavy it was. Boy when we started our friendly flip-off we quickly found that Guruka made short work of it!! Not to be out done Turbine was right behind him showing no quit. I am continually impressed with Turbine’s drive. Habs and and Spauldini made throwing the tires around look like they were playing frisbee. Torch has come a long way in the time that I have been a part of the Dawghouse. You see his body composition changing and stamina ever increasing ans he pushes himself he never thought he could. Hates off to all the guys who came out to have a Blast during Spring Break! Thanks again for the great opportunity to lead a fine group of men!

YHC did make note of the fact that Uecker has seemd to be mysteriously out of town during the YHC’s last few Q’s. Makes one wonder if this is mere coincidence or are YHC’s Q’s more than Ueker can handle? Uecker, love you man!
