Five Men Explored A New Hill At Davis Lake

  • When: 03/14/19
  • QIC: The Farm
  • The PAX: Blip, Blowout, Meola, R2D2

YHC had been eyeing a ‘new’ hill to run at Davis Lake for quite some time but wondered if exploring it would work with a larger group. At the time of morning when we work out, lots of cars are tearing through the area, so we would need a smaller group that could all run on the sidewalk. After a quick Google Map check last night and learning that a few men would be out of town/sick this morning, YHC decided that today would be the day. This is how it went down:

Warm-o-rama:

Immediate mosey from the Davis Lake Parking Lot towards David Cox (workouts start at 5:30am @Meola & @BlowOut…I did this for you guys 😉 ).

SSH x 15IC
Monkey Humpers x 10 IC

Mosey down DL Parkway
IST x 15IC

Mosey PAST the shopping center on DL Parkway (YHC heard a few expressions of confusion) at this point.
MC x 15 IC

Mosey some more.
CP x 10 IC (Touch Touch Touch!)

Mosey to the intersection of DL Parkway and WT Harris. Look back…it’s a big hill all the way from WT Harris to David Cox.

10 Burpees OYO
10 Monkey Humpers IC for the early morning commuters
Sprint to the first light pole on the left
10 Merkins IC
Mosey back to WT Harris
10 Burpees OYO
Tempo Pace (pace where talking is possible, but only in broken sentences) to the second light pole on the left.
10 LBCs IC
Mosey back to WT Harris
10 Burpees OYO
Tempo Pace (pace where talking is possible, but only in broken sentences) to the third light pole on the left.
10 CDDs IC

Mosey to the shopping center which was now across the street
Air Chairs and Air Presses to recover.

Line up and reverse Indian Run around the lot.

Mosey back to the clubhouse.

Mary:

Pretzel crunches on each side x 10 IC
Reverse crunch x 10 IC

Moleskin:

As always, I enjoyed leading you men. Thanks for indulging me with the sprints/tempo runs uphill. Those weren’t easy but you literally took them in stride. The workout today didn’t have a lot of ‘content’ in it, but it definitely got the blood flowing. Have a good day!
