Let’s Go Do Some Pull-Ups

Only 4 PAX met at the Davis Lake clubhouse on a beautiful morning for a simple but tough boot camp. YHC was in the mood for some pull-ups as we don’t do them too often as an AO so we set out for the playground at David Cox Elementary.  Mumble chatter was abundant and mostly centered on R2D2’s reluctance to post backblasts. He even went as far as to say that he would avoid leading a workout to avoid writing a backblast. We’ll continue to work on this issue.

The Thang:

Mosey from Davis Lake clubhouse to David Cox Elementary stopping at each intersection along the way for some leg work:

  • 1st Street: 10 Low Slow Squats; 20 Calf Raises
  • 2nd Street: 10 Low Slow Squats; 10 Lunges
  • 3rd Street: 10 Low Slow Squats; 10 High Knees

Once we arrived to the David Cox Elementary playground we proceeded to complete a pyramid of alternating pullups and burpees starting with 10 burpees and 1 pullup and working all the way to 1 burpee and 10 pullups.  Mosey back to Davis Lake Clubhouse stopping at each street for some more leg work:

  • 1st Street: 10 Low Slow Squats; 10 Bobby Hurlees
  • 2nd Street: 10 Low Slow Squats; 10 Apolo Ohnos
  • 3rd Street: 10 Low Slow Squats; 10 High Knees

  • 5 Homer to Marge
  • 20 Mason Twists
