Moleskin:
Lesson of the day: Know thy Q. Indy showed up 10 minutes late, but of all the possibilities in early morning Concord, knew to find us at the pull-up bars. Glad we didn’t do the 2nd round of mini-Murph like originally planned. According to Catfish, we never left the AO, but put in just over 3 miles and 600 calories. Ground saturation was just over 100%, so moving tires through the mud was that much easier. Who knew the hardest part of the morning was going to be part 3? Turns out adding that hill from lower to upper lots makes a big difference. The intent this morning was to focus on the oft-neglected muscles of the back, thus the pull-ups, tire flips, and Supermans. Remember, there is more to the body than the glamor muscles in the chest and shoulders. Balance is key. I’m thankful to Grover for keeping me humble. Every time I think I’m good, he is able to put me in my place and keep me pushing harder. On a positive note, Homeland is almost able to touch his toes. Keep it up (or down). Also, Indy is looking for a date for next weekend’s Gala if anyone has an eligible young lady in mind. He’s already been turned down 3 times, so make sure it is a layup.
Prayers go out to Grover’s friend, Noah Warner, who is suffering from jaw cancer. Also for Betsy Handler, who is suffering from heart failure and has 3 kids at home. Finally, keep our brother Anvil in your prayers as he searches for a new work opportunity. If anyone has connections in the construction and contracting industry, keep him in mind.
It is a pleasure leading you all,
Aye
