Tour of the VET for our vistors

Kinda back from my ankle injury I thought I would give Saturday’s beat down a go and I’m glad I did.  We had 2 Passport Guests, Shooter and Amway, who graced the VET with their presence and along with The Body and ManBun there was no better way to entertain our guest but to introduce them to the famous hills of the Vet.

Warm Up:  Its 7am and time to mosey over to the practice tennis courts for some of the following: SSH, Imperial Walkers, Plank Burpees and some Wind Mills. Enough warming up.

The Thang:

Mosey down the trail till we came to “Old Baldy”.  Start at tree line, Do 1 Squat, run to base of Old Baldy and reverse gear up the hill, complete 9 squats, run back down to tree line and complete ladder of 10.

Continue down trail till we come to pull up bars and complete one set of all you got on the bars

Continue up the trail to the base of Heart Break Ridge.  Complete Ladder of 5 Merkins, Start with 1 at the bottom then run to the top and complete 4.  Rinse and repeat until ladder is complete.

Continue up the trail to the sand volleyball courts where we did my custom jump up and block the ball drill down one side of the net and then down the other side of the net.  Then run over to the other court and repeat.  Really gets the heart rate up.

Down the trail we continue till we come to Pork Chop Hill.  Goal was just to run the hill and touch the fence and come back down 10 times.  However, about half way through my ankle said take it easy, you are still in recovery mode so I audible and over to the  practice tennis courts for 10 minutes of stretching.

It was good being back.  Nice crowd for a Saturday.  Kudos to Amway and Shooter, they did a double AO this morning.  ManBun showing much improvement and the Body, well, he’s the Body!!
