No time to teach Filibuster to fish

All Comanche Backblasts

August 19th, 2018 By Laser

13 PAX grabbed some miles in one way or another in the Saturday gloom.  As we were heading out Filibuster, who had the Q, mentioned something along the lines of not knowing how to write an official backblast.  YHC shot back that I would take care of it for him and had his back.  The old proverb says “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”  Well, since YHC doesn’t have the time right now to teach Filibuster to fish on his own, he’s only getting fed today.

There are a few Valley PAX training for BRR and Marathons as well as prepping for Hit The Brixx.  So three routes were posted by Filibuster with 4:30AM, 5:30AM and 6:15AM Options.  If YHC’s memory serves me right, there were 2 for route one, an additional 10 for route two and we dropped a few an picked up 1 new PAX for round three.  All in all there were 13 PAX that posted for at least one of the three.

Being consistent, Urlacher showed up out of nowhere mid-way through route two.  Softwood and YHC were aiming for 15 and so ran from Davis Lake AO to joint for routes two and three and then back to Davis Lake.  YHC was not thrilled about route two included a trip down to David Taylor and some significant hill work to get back out of the valley.  But, all in a good days work.

It was great to have Heatstroke and Kilowatt join us for route 2..and we ran back into them rucking while we were on route 3.  At the same time, we missed Brutus but are glad he is resting and letting that hip issue recover.

We will be back at it again this week starting off with YHC leading a true Fartlek run launching from the Harris Teeter on Ridge and Prosperity Church at 0530 Monday morning.  See you all there!!!

Thanks for leading us Filibuster – glad to follow you any time.
