Hit The Bricks @ The Mill
All Kannon BackblastsAugust 8th, 2018
10 mighty men of valor, including one FNG, joined together in what must have been at least 105 percent humidity to better their bodies and deepen their fellowship in their he gloom this morning. What craziness had been prepared?
WARMORAMA:
Mosey to Switzerland,
SSH x25 IC
Hillbillies X15 IC
Arm Circles forward and backward
Cotton Pickers x10 IC
Mosey a short distance to the field across from the Deck and procure 2 bricks per pax from the back of the QIC’s truck and proceed into the field where five blocks had somehow been placed in a row spaced about 3 feet apart. After a short demonstration, the blocks were moved to a spacing of 2 feet because not everyone has the wingspan of the QIC.
The PAX formed a circle around the blocks. The PAX were to perform a series of movements with bricks on hand while one man acted as a timer. The timer placed both feet on one of the end blocks and did a derkin with his hands on his bricks. He then moved his feet over to the next block and moved his bricks with him and did another derkin. He proceeded down to the fifth block and then back to the first block. Once he completed a round the next man started his turn on the blocks and the next exercise was started.
The exercises performed by the standing PAX were (in some order): Curls, Skull Crushers, Lateral Arm Raises, Bent Over Rows, Squats, Military Press, Front Arm Raises, Lunges and Bent Over Flies
Each man completed two trips up and down the row of blocks. Lesson learned: put the blocks on a smoother surface to decrease the amount of complaints from the PAX. Some guys must not realize that entire point was to work on STABILITY.
Place bricks back in their pile and mosey to the AO for MARY:
LBCs x15 IC hold feet in raised position
Freddie Mercs x15 IC, recover
Plank Barrel Rolls
Broga (downward dog, cobra, child pose)
COT:
Prayers for those traveling on vacations, Gooney’s mother fighting cancer a third time and had fever last night, Loafer’s family as they attend a memorial service for a family member, also remember the wife of said family member as she begins the mourning process, SirTopemHat’s wife as she continues to fight the mysterious ailment in her body.
MOLESKIN:
Despite many claims to the contrary, this was a Grandmaster original. I’m thankful BOTH of my alarms worked this morning. It is always an honor and an adventure leading you guys. Somehow we had just enough bricks for everyone and I think the number of blocks was just right. Thanks to Backdraft who actually helped put the blocks away and to Gunny who showed up to help just as the last one was put away.
Remember ber the Kannon Anniversary Convergence this Saturday at 7:00 followed by coffee and pastries on site and QSourse Grinder.
In HIS Service,
Grandmaster
