A swamp and pesticides

All BackBlasts Backblasts

July 24th, 2018 By Fire Chicken

9 men got their sweat on this morning as we were greeted with swampy jungle like humidity and dew points which was fitting as the workout the QIC had in mind was a Trick Daddy special, slightly modified.

Warm-up: mosey to Beverly Hills park or drive if you’re the IR pax known as Homeland

The Thang: 10 pull-ups on the playground then mosey to first corner on track for 10 W’s IC then onto the shelter for 10 dips then broad jump burpees across the basketball court to the bottom of stairs for everyone’s favorite bunny hops then 10 derkins on the lowwall then down and around to playground to rinse and repeat.

Mary: had one minute so completed LBC’s IC for one minute.

Prayers/Announcements: Grover’s 90 yr old father and his health and not to be in any pain, Mountie’s son, pax traveling to and from mission field.

Moleskin: After some grumblings from some pax who may be the new MQ at 0528 about the mosey to the park, which were rightfully ignored by the QIC, we were greeted by a “stay out of park”’ sign due to pesticides being sprayed approx 18 hours earlier….against our better judgement we decided to trust our regular lawn care expert, Grover, and ignore the sign.  Everyone seemed to come out okay except for Backdraft who seemed to get a couple inches shorter in the 45 min workout period…hardly even a hobbit now.  WOW…was it tough to catch your breath this am…can’t remember it being much worse.  Most groups got in 2-3 rotations.

Until next time,
