Notes:
-We logged almost 4.7 miles in total— all pax brought great attitudes and ready-to-work mindsets
-Oh how it’s getting hot out there…Saturday launch time should be moved from 0700 to 0600, as it customarily is done, weekend of Memorial Day OR the first weekend after such—- we all were drenched like Anvil post-work out
-Prayer for Hip’s son, Running Eagle, who leaves for Croatia to study abroad for 5 weeks as apart of studies at UNC-Chapel Hill
-Props to Frosty for coaxing FNG Blair Troutman to post—- FNG posted strong (graduated from Concord High, played baseball at Wingate Univ and reportedly a Physician’s Ass’t (PA)
-Pvt Ryan posted and then spent yet another day in this hot-ass sun working a college women’s softball tournament at UNCC— he mentioned he really enjoys the multitude of players’ dads in the stands barking instructions to daughters
-Enjoyed cafe time at Groundworks (new place on Church St) as Hip bought my iced black brew and Homeland joined us post-swim— heal up Homeland and we miss you, bro—- Rawhide (from Kannon) joined us for a few mins as he was picking up cafe and pastry for the wifey
I am tired. That’s all I got. Mon-Sat wake ups bf 5am this week each day done in an effort to attack the day w movement rather than having it defeat me in bed w being sedentary. We all are built differently— recognize what you need to do and do it— don’t measure yourself solely by me or any other mortal. Keep pushing forward even though the woods can indeed become lovely, snowy and deep— especially as fathers, we have so many miles to go bf we sleep and so many promises to keep.
Thanks for leading me, El Ab
