A total of 4 PAX posted today for The Valley Cruise.  YHC asked, on Slack, if anyone was interested in a double down and Softwood took the bate for a 5am start.  YHC was pleasantly surprised to find Gordo in the Tradition AO lot ready to roll at 0500 as well.  Buckwheat was there to clown car with Dingo to the Fayetteville Spartan Race.  Softwood got there right on time and the thee of us headed toward the King Tiger 5K route.

We took the first mile slow and Softwood checked with Gordo on his usual pace.  He said around 8/mi miles and that he was training for a 10K so he wanted to push it a little.  We ended up running the KT5K route at about a 7:20 pace and in the last mile Softwood challenged Gordo to push it and the man took off.

As we neared Tradition, 2Step was coming toward us as we were running late.  He mentioned that there were no other PAX in the lot so we proceeded to route 2.  This was a loop up Prosperity to Johnston Oehler and then up Prosperity Ridge.  We were going to take Benfield back but the three of us were smoked from the fast pace off route 1 so we dropped down Prosperity and trudged back to Tradition.  2Step ended up with about 5 miles and the other three ended up close to or at 10.

Great job by all and way to push it this morning.  Thanks for being out there with me in the gloom!
