Grab your snow pants it’s April 30!
All Highlands BackblastsApril 30th, 2018
Four men gathered in the nearly sub zero temperatures (actually closer to 38 degrees) of Highland Creek Sports Club this morning to once again honor Lt. Michael Patrick Murphy through the monthly running of the Murph. After coming to a unanimous agreement that we all hated winter the PAX was off for a run up the never ending Clarke Creek Parkway. Here’s how it all went down:
- Run One Mile finishing at the playground
- 10 pull ups
- 20 merkins
- 30 squats
- Repeat exercise cycle X 10
- Run One Mile finishing at the parking lot

- Four men turned into five when we got to the playground and found @Sully already there halfway through his exercise cycle. Apparently you CAN complete the Murph by 6AM and still make it to work on time. Well done sir.
- The PAX was well bundled this morning to ward off the cold, with hats and gloves aplenty. @Number One even wore some swishy sounding long pants that he swore were not snow pants but the PAX begged to differ. Whatever works for you.
- Lots of good mumble chatter this morning. Come join us on Memorial Day (May 28) if you haven’t done the Murph in a while. Never easy, always a challenge, but definitely worth the effort in the end. Hopefully it will finally be warm by then.
- Happy 8th Anniversary to @Buffalo Bill and his M this weekend. They decided to take the 2.0’s to dinner with them but hopefully put the kids to bed early before the best parts.
- Thanks to everyone who posted this morning. It definitely felt like a good day to sleep in so thanks for making the extra effort today.
