A total of 10 PAX joined YHC for two routes from The Valley Saturday AO.

Route 1 was a 3.6 Mile run from the AO to Mallard Creek Elementary, onto the greenway, up through Winchester and back to Tradition.  This route included YHC, Brutus and Dingo, who happened to spot at least 4 sets of glowing eyes in the woods on the greenway and then broke off for an Elvis a couple munutes later.  Thankfully his time in the woods did not attract the pack of eyes and Dingo caught up to YCH and Brutus in time to make the climb through Winchester.

When we got to the AO, there were another 5 PAX waiting for Route 2.  The next route took us on a 4.6 mile rolling route from Tradition, down Fairlea, across the greenway and up through Hampton Place.  We hooked right onto DeArmon and then too Prosperity Church back to Tradition.  Somewhere along the way Landlord and Gentle Grizzly joined the crew and took our total up to 10 PAX.  Brutus continued to do sets of Merkins while waiting for the six but none of the PAX took the bait.

There is always a lot of mumblechatter regarding Brutus’ “encouragement” towards Dingo when it comes to pushing himself, especially uphill.  No one was up front to witness what happened, but the last mile these two men took off and it was clear Brutus had convinced Dingo to leave it all on the road.  To his credit, Dingo did just that and finished strong while the rest of the PAX closed in behind.

Great effort this morning men.  It was a great week at The Valley with great numbers.  It’s good times running with 10+ brothers.  Keep posting and getting better together!
