F3Flea’s VQ at the Mill!

All BackBlasts Backblasts

April 4th, 2018 By Fire Chicken

12 Pax yet again escaped the fartsack and enjoyed a warm, breezy, beautiful morning in K-town. Flea led the group in a themed workout entitled: “All About That Base!” Which at the time he announced it there was much groaning and gnashing of teeth. This workout was a tribute to Flea and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Each activity was given a name based on a song by the Chili Peppers. Before starting, it was announced that if you’re ever waiting, do Al Gore’s or pick up the six. The Pax were also made aware that if you hear “Can’t Stop” then you mosey, and if you hear “SLAP IT!”(because Flea loves to slap the bass…no Firechicken, it doesn’t imply anything else) you drop and do 25 Merkins.

+”Can’t Stop”
-via Watson Crick Dr., around the rear of Rite Aid and on to the large parking lot behind the Credit Union for the warmorama.

+”My Friends” – WARMORAMA
-Circle up
20 SSH’s IC
Cotton Pickers 15 IC
Imperial Storm Troopers 10 IC
-SLAP IT!

“Can’t Stop” to Parking lot past City Hall.

THE THANG
#1-“Otherside”
Lunges across parking lot. Jog back stopping at each middle line to do 10 “Villanovas” (aka Bobby Hurleys)
After one set of up and back the Pax heard “SLAP IT!” After a second set…”SLAP IT!” The Burgh just kept saying how much he loved to slap it…anytime he could. Firechicken was jealous so he slapped it extra hard with 50 pushups. Wrong Way led the way even though his Bobby Hurley’s looked like “Bobby Girlies”(I jest because I’m jealous).

“Can’t Stop” to Parking deck.

#2-“Higher Ground”
)I noticed a general sweep of nervousness through the group when I announced the name.) Quadraphelia to top of the parking deck and touch the back wall, then run down the ramps to bottom. It was very quiet except for the occasional groaning and grunting. A short recovery then… “SLAP IT!”

“Can’t Stop” to the Horseshoe

#3-“All Around the World”(which I forgot to announce the name of…whoops)
Begin the Black Snake (rear man weaves in and out of an Indian Run line) Started by the Q. Most Pax weaved in and out at least once, some twice during one trip around the shoe. Then “Can’t Stop” back to Mary with with a sprint to the finish.

Mary: We made it to Mary with 15 seconds to spare. It really must be been all about that base because I heard the a lot of talk about sore legs. Mission accomplished! Total count of Merkins=100. (The Pax in the Merkin Challenge stayed after and did an extra 50)

Announcements: F2 at BWW in Afton Village, tomorrow, 4-5-18 at 1830.

Prayer requests: Catfish returning from a mission trip to Colombia.

The Q really enjoyed leading a such a great group of men, and hopes to Q again soon. Great job men!
