Pax Tested: Grover Approved Workout

All Concord Backblasts

January 23rd, 2018 By Bay City Roller

Who turned on the month of May? I mean, come on… 60 degrees with some showers? It’s freaking January and we just had snow on the ground less than a week ago! Nonetheless, if you didn’t post today, you missed some great weather.

14 men with cojones like two loose grapefruits in a grocery bag stood up and were counted for.

Warmup: a short trek over to the rehab center where Phidip gets his secret serum that allows him to move like a medically enhanced Man-Bear-Cheetah.

Obligatory SSH followed by ISTs and Arm circles

The Thang-a-lang: Belk parking for a 1-5 ascending burpee ladder with a 50′ ish yard jaunt between each set. Around the mall to the Sears side of town for the same but descending 5-1 burpees. A quick trip to the parking deck for another game of burpees. 2-4-6-8-10 as we go from front-bottom to rear-bottom up to rear-top to front-top back down to front-bottom.Lastly, we hit the parking lot at the top of the Hill that’s as smooth as a Kenny G love song for a 30′ ish yard bear crawl, ‘merican, shoulder tap shredder. Bear crawl two steps, ‘merican, touch left and right shoulder; repeat until you make it across. Time for Mary, back to ASEC.

Mary: Crunch frogs, LBCs, Mt Climbers, Pretzel Crunch

Moleskin: the weather was unreal for this time of year. Back in the 30’s for tomorrow AM so don’t pack up those LuLu’s just yet. Grand total of 60-burpees and 2.5 miles this morning which granted a Seal of Approval and endorsement from Grover. Be sure to “yay” or “nay” on the MeCa Winter drinking party at the Brewery this Saturday. Indy will be there in black tie and has granted all, a once in a lifetime photo op. A cherished moment, indeed.
