12 Days of Christmas
Slight chance of rain that did not happen on a wonderful late December morning with unseasonably warm temps.
33 combined Concord and Kannon pax posted for a festive beat down at Village Park
Warmup: Mosey to large parking lot behind CU for 20 x SSH, 15 x Hillbillies and 2 – 10 Count TP Hamstring Stretches then continue Mosey to Village Park Carousel.
Thang: 12 Days of Christmas is a workout based on one of our favorite Christmas Carols where you have 12 exercises that you complete like you sing the song.
i.e. Exercise 1 then 2, 1 then 3, 2 1 etc. Workout started at the shelter area beside playground at Village Park
1. Run to Carousel and back (Approx. 150 yards)
2. Lunge walks (Approx. 28 lunge strides)
3. Star Jumps
4. Broad Jumps
5. Pull-Ups
6. WWIIs (IC)
7. Knee Raises from a dead hang
8. Burpees
9. Peter Parkers
10. Goblet Squats
11. Core Killers
12. Mountain Climbers (IC)
Mary: After mosey back starting location only time for one exercise, so I got to do one of my favorites and honor our brother Trick at the same time. Brazilians x 20 (IC)
Moleskin: Workout seemed to do the trick for all pushing each of us at multiple levels of fitness. It was very crowded at first and became a little of a shoulder rubbing workout but needed playground area to have opportunity for pull-ups. That is certainly a need for the WONDERful location of the Kannon AO. Some chatter about the demise of the Tarheel basketball team earlier this week. Sounded like small dogs barking maybe even Terriers. Luther completely exited the warmup circle to go do his own thing for awhile must have been under influence of El Ab who was beside him. Timing was solid with the 12 Days of Christmas with the Day 2 Lunge walks adding a little flare and pain. Workout pace leaders Grover, Rooster and Frostbite all got to Day 12 but didn’t complete before Mary was called. It was a fantastic number only 2 days short of Christmas including two FNGs (Brian French and Matthew Beaver). Coffeteria was excellent at Starbucks after and my favorite barista got to see how people take care of people (F3 bringing many Christmas gifts) instead of the government trying to take care of people in need. J All Concord, Kannon and the BiPaxual F3ers got along despite all of the early week Slack chatter, might be because Bay City decided not to join us. Backdraft and I took the Herrera’s gifts by their house after Coffeteria. I will post a picture on slack this afternoon. I am thankful for my many blessings over this Holiday season and the least of these is not a great group of guys I get to workout with each and every week. Thanks for the friendships and for the peer pressure that helps make me a better man.
Merry Christmas and keep Christ at the focus of the season!!
