Nobody Took The Short Route, Except the Shovel Flag….
All Comanche BackblastsOctober 30th, 2017
8 men weren’t skeered of a little cold and showed up at the Manor House for Skedaddle. 32 degrees. Check. Shovel. Check. Flag… Meh. YHC took the rains today after a weekend of reliving college after 20 years. It was a struggle, but I knew if I signed up to Q I wouldn’t fartsack. I planted the shovel and then got sidetracked, leaving the flag in my trunk. No one realized this until the first lap of our 1 mile loop was complete. @Forgotten Jelly thought someone had stolen it, while @Hugo was a little more diplomatic and thought they may have captured it. Nah, that was just me being forgetful after getting sidetracked this morning.
We ran a one mile route, reversing it each time in three three groups/waves: 1) @Forgotten Jelly & @Hugo. 2) @Hammer & @Sully. 3) YHC. 4) @Ranger, @Chicken Coop, and @Jackpot.
@Hammer crushed it with 6 laps. @Forgotten Jelly was close behind with 5 plus. @Hugo, @Sully, and YHC all got four in, but they did so much faster than me. @Ranger, @Jackpot, and @Chicken Coop decided to push themselves up to three laps instead of two. Great job, men!
Moleskin:
- Great job by all. It’s not easy on cold, Monday mornings to come out and run. You guys did and are much better off than those fartsackers. You know who you are!
- Good work extending up to three miles today @Chicken Coop, @Ranger, and @Jackpot.
- @Ranger is set to Q a Halloween special bootcamp tomorrow, along with @Chicken Coop.
- Prayers for safe race for @Hammer and @Hugo and their Basin Run Relay team who will be running this Friday night.
- I liked this little route/set up. We’ll probably do it again soon. It is now a segment on Strava.
