The 53 Commercial
It was a wonderful sticky humid morning with 8 F3ers ready to gain some 53 knowledge.
Warmup:
Mosey to parking lot beside What-A-Burger
20 SSH (IC)
15 Cotton Pickers (IC) – felt a little hamstring pull on these, bummer not feeling 100% now
15 HillBillies (IC)
Thang
Mosey to bottom of 53 parking lot and break into 2 groups
Group 1 runs around 53 while Group 2 completes 53 Patty Merk (5 merkins and 3 hand raises) repeat until Group 1 completes loop
Rinse and repeat for 2 full cycles
Group 1 runs around 53 while Group 2 completes 8 count Burpees (a burpee with a Jack Webb in the middle) repeat until Group 1 completes loop
Rinse and repeat for 2 full cycles.
Mosey to parking lot beside 53 (set of cones at the bottom and top)
5/3 exercise at bottom of hill 5 Vups then 3 Merkins run to the top complete 5 LBCs then 3 Carolina Dry docks return to the bottom of hill.
Repeat process but had to use brain because each time you added a 5/3, 2nd round exercises were 10/6, 3rd round – 15/9 etc.
PAX completed 5 trips up and down hill finishing with 25/15 in the exercise count
Return to Coal Train and try to do a couple sets of 5 chinups but this was a failed exercise because only 2 could go at a time and our taller pax couldn’t get their feet off the ground
Mary
30 Brazilians (IC) you knew those were coming
10 J-Lo
Upward Dawg
Moleskin:
I was impressed with Pax ability to do math and keep up with the exercises. This am made for a very wet sweaty mess on the pavement but much fun was had by all. Pax learned much about history but makes me wonder how well they did in class because many would chatter while instruction was going on. I will add a summary of 53 info learned at bottom of backblast. I may repeat parts of the 53 workout. The hill behind 53 is a challenge for sure. Tick says it is 150 yards but I think that is a hunter trying to brag he can kill anything from a long distance. It is certainly less than a pitching wedge. Also Backdraft seemed more unsocial than normal he may would have taken home a note that he didn’t play well with others today.

· Bank started in June 1858 as Ohio Valley Bank
· Thru mergers and acquisitions it at one time held the name Bank of America
· 1908 5th National and 3rd National banks merged and that is where you get 5/3
· Could not have picked 3/5 because that was during prohibition and certainly wouldn’t want a name that sounded like liquor.
· 12th largest bank in the US and is based in Cincinnati, OH
· Employees 21,000 employees
