Well…it’s that time of year again… YHC woke up, got dressed, then checked the temperature outside…then went searching for my cold weather clothes. According to my Accuweather app, it was 39 degrees this morning…but felt like 44. My car said it was 46. Whichever one of those is right, one thing is for sure. The days of 5:30am cruises in 70-80 degree temps are over (for now)! Time to get acclimated to the cold and the best way to do that is to post! Each year, YHC has posted throughout the winter and each year when spring rolls around, I find I’ve made my biggest gains during that time. I don’t know what it is about the winter, but I welcome it! Four other men also welcomed the cooler temps this morning as we ran the Rudolph Run 5k route.

Route:

Run down Claude Freeman to W Mallard Creek Rd, hang a right, then a right onto Senator Royall. Run DOWN Senator Royall, right onto David Taylor, Left onto Governor Hunt, turn around before hitting Mallard Creek, left into parking lot…3.1 miles.

Moleskin:

YHC didn’t get to talk with @Grizzly much as he seemed to be on a mission this morning to see how fast he could run the 5k. He was trash talking YHC earlier this week and I think he was trying to back it up.

@Pleasure was close behind @Grizzly and had an impressive showing. In fact, he ran so fast that he couldn’t feel his ears by the end of the run?

Great 2nd F with @ManDown this morning talking about running techniques and how to not hurt ourselves.

@Funky Bunch did not like our joke about that being the warm up run…

Anyone seen @Stairmaster???
