Lessons from a 2.0
All All MECA BackblastsSeptember 30th, 2016
Six avoided the snooze button and descended on Stallings Road Park for this week’s edition of Harrisburg Iron. With Kojak still milking the overtime, YHC stepped in to substitute. There was a suggestion from one of the pax that we finish the backside of last week’s pyramid, but the dissenting opinion came in the form of “shut up, Bear Claw!” I like where your head’s at, Bear Claw, but not wanting to provoke the already angry mob, we went with something else….

1. Thanks to Hot Dog for taking us out. Simple and to the point. I think we grown-ups (and I use that term loosely) tend to over complicate things. Great kid…definitely takes after Bear Claw.
2. But anyway, afterwards, Hot Dog showed us all how tired he WASN’T by carrying roughly half his body weight in KBs back to the cars.
3. When I grow up, I want to be like Clueless and TBone with their 45# KBs.
4. To the recent park visitor would couldn’t take your garbage the last two feet to the garbage can, no worries…Cooter’s got you covered. Always serving others….even the lazy ones.
5. Stay tuned for details on Clueless’ 6-week training program to improve your mile time, as well as the next F3Harrisburg/Ridge shirt order.

Gamma

Strong work this morning.
Kettle bells is a great way to end the workweek (TGIF). Thanks for the push this morning Gamma! Always enjoy your leads. Good to see Hot Dog out showing us how to throw around some Iron! Have a great weekend fellas.
Thanks for the strong lead @Gamma. You have a lot of strength. You have to be in good shape to push us like you are able to do in the these workouts. Our 2.0’s are a blessing. I’m also thankful for @Clueless and @Cooter and others that coach them in sports and are also such a positive influence. Concerning the pyramid, we have to be careful what we ask for and I forgot how hard the pyramid was last time, I’m glad the rest of the PAX kept me in line. I mentioned the Jack O’Lantern Jaunt Road Race 5K at Frank Liske Park on Saturday, October 29 at 5 PM for the benefit and awareness of breast cancer. (While I’m talking about races, my neighborhood will be hosting a 5K Race called the Turkey Trot on Saturday, November 19 which is the Saturday before Thanksgiving. If anyone is interested, I can provide more details.)
